Capacity Building on Preventing Violence Against Children

The Global CP AoR in partnership with World Vision ran a Violence Prevention Initiative in 2021 to accelerate preventing violence against children in humanitarian settings. Through this initiative, select child protection coordination groups benefited from technical support and capacity building on this topic, ensuring access to resources and strengthening expertise.

Here you can find presentations from three virtual sessions facilitated with child protection coordination groups:

1) The first session introduces the INSPIRE framework, its core documents, an overview of the seven strategies, and how the framework links to the Child Protection Minimum Standards.

2) The second session covers the INSPIRE strategy of Parent and Caregiver Support. In this session, the core components and outcomes of parenting programs and how parenting programs can be delivered are explored.

3) The third session looks at the INSPIRE strategy of Response and Support Services.

The content of the presentations has been put together by a number of materials from various organizations, including the Global Partnership to End Violence against Children, the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, and WHO.

The presentations are available in pdf and powerpoint, and all presentations are in English.
